Paul Turner is a radical geography teacher who's campaigned for a number of years to encourage teachers to be bolder in their approach and teach in a way appropriate for the anthropocene. Paul launched the world's first Climate Breakdown scheme of work which has now been downloaded more than 5000 times around the world. Most recently, Paul organised 'the BIG climate teach-in' 6 hours of non-stop climate education by 23 speakers live streamed worldwide over the internet.
Paul's other initiatives include the Radical Geographers' Handbook, published last year as a provocation to geography teachers but with wider implications for education, and also #teachersagainstclimatebreakdown which brings together teachers from a variety of subjects hoping to challenge the status quo around climate education in schools.
